It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Morocco and to the EducationUSA Morocco October 2026 program — three days of university engagement, partnership building, student outreach, and school visits in Casablanca and Rabat.

This site gathers everything you need in one place: the program and schedule, travel and transportation information, hotel and restaurant recommendations, things to see and do in both cities, and the contacts to reach us at any point during your visit.

School visits in Rabat, with additional opportunities to connect with students and education stakeholders.

Visa & entry

Check Morocco's current entry and visa requirements for your nationality before traveling. For questions, contact the Moroccan diplomatic mission serving your country or consult official Moroccan government resources.

Money & payment

Currency: Moroccan Dirham (MAD/DH). Cards are accepted at many hotels, restaurants and larger establishments. Cash is useful for smaller purchases, taxis and markets. ATMs are widely available.

Weather & what to wear

October generally offers comfortable temperatures, but weather can vary between Casablanca and Rabat. Bring light layers and comfortable shoes. Business/professional attire is recommended for the program.

Staying connected

Wi-Fi is available at most hotels and many restaurants and cafés. You may wish to arrange international roaming or a local SIM/eSIM. WhatsApp is our primary communication channel during the event.

Getting from Casablanca Airport to the city centre

Arrival day is Saturday, October 3, 2026 — arrival to Casablanca and hotel check-in.

Airport train

  • Located at the airport, ground level
  • Three stations in Casablanca: Casa Oasis, Casa Voyageurs, Casa Port
  • Book a ticket to the station closest to your hotel
  • Latest train to Casa Port departs at 22:55

Option 2

Private driver

  • Direct to your hotel
  • Ask Ichrak for a recommended driver

Cost does not exceed 400 DH anywhere in Casablanca

Option 3

Grand taxi

  • Direct to your hotel
  • Look for the “WeTaxi” booth at the main exit

Cost should not exceed 350 DH anywhere in Casablanca

Option 4

Uber

  • Available through the app
  • Most expensive option

Airport transportation can be arranged in advance upon request. EducationUSA Morocco can assist in arranging a private airport transfer to your hotel; the cost of the transfer is paid by the participant. Note: if you would like us to arrange a transfer, contact Ichrak in advance with your arrival date, arrival time, flight number, and hotel name.

Food allergies & dietary requirements

Please tell us your preferred meal option and any food allergies or dietary restrictions we should be aware of.

Important: if you have severe or life-threatening allergies, please bring your prescribed emergency medication with you, and communicate all allergies and food limitations to Ichrak.
